Why did Jesus pray, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless, not my will but thy will be done?

From what I have reserached, I think there are 3 parts to the answer. So often we are reminded of the terrible suffering that was about to come upon Him. Of the 3 parts, this is probably the least, that being the human boby bearing pain. Let me explain the other 2 so you get the perspective.

Number 2 is the sin that is placed upon Him. All the sin of mankind past and mankind future was placed upon Him. That was a terrible weight to bear. But these 2 parts He knew from before creation He was going to face. Leave Heaven and become a man. He knew His purpose.

3 part. He had never ever been sperated from the Father. He also knew that separation was coming. He knew that the Father cannot even look at sin, not hear sin, not touch sin. No taste or smell sin. Jesus knew that when He was on the Cross, the Father would be passing by and could not look at Him. This is the separation that Jesus was worried about and greatly dreaded.
